Alternative St. Patrick's Day

Let’s celebrate St. Patrick’s Day within the home. We will be learning about St.Patrick and how he used the shamrock to help teach us about God’s family and how our town is named after him.

NI Kids have a few ideas of how to celebrate within the house.

CBeebies actually filmed in Downpatrick a few years ago! We may not be able to go to the parade this year but we can watch one from a few years ago.

Check out the St. Patrick's Day songs in the Let's Dance section in Home Learning.

We watch the original Riverdance and then recreated it - taking turns to be the main dancers. Maybe you could dance in the living room. Find it on YouTube and go to 2minutes 13 for the start of the dance.
