Hedgehog Bread UPDATED
Today we have been very busy following the instruction for the recipe for Hedgehog Bread. We rolled up our sleeve, washed our hands then measured out the dry ingredients, then added in the water and oil. We mixed it all together then kneaded the mixture for 5 minutes. Then we divided up the dough and decided to make a hedgehog family.
We looked closely at the shape of the hedgehog and Miss Donoghue showed us how to shape the dough, pinch it to make spikes and then add raisins for eyes and a nose. We took it in turns to make different sized hedgehogs and then had to leave the dough to rise. When the children went home we baked the bread in the oven and we can try it at snack time tomorrow.
