Welcome Back on Thursday 6th January

We are looking forward to seeing all the children and families tomorrow and to ensure we stay safe together please remember:

  • Your assigned drop off & collection time - to reduce gatherings at the doors
  • We ask that all adults wear a face mask at the school doors
  • If your child is unwell for any reason please do not send them to school
  • If your child develop symptoms or are identified as a close contact of a positive case, parents are encouraged to carry out a lateral flow test.
  • If this is positive they should then take a PCR test to confirm the positive result. Daily lateral flow tests are not required.

If a child has been identified as a close contact and has symptoms there is an increased risk that the child may have COVID-19.

They should also stay at home until they do not have a temperature and are well enough to return to school or childcare.

What should I do if my child has symptoms of COVID-19?

The symptoms of COVID-19 are:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature); OR
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual); OR
  • a loss of or change in sense of smell or taste.

If your child has any of these symptoms it is very important that they do NOT attend school and should also self-isolate at home. You should arrange for them to get tested as soon as possible. They should continue to isolate until the result of the test is available.
