Last Thursday of February

24th Feb 2021

Good morning boys & girls - today is the last Thursday of February and next week we will be starting a new month called March.  During March we will be learning about St. Patrick, preparing for Mother's Day and Easter.

The days are getting longer - have you noticed that when you get up it is no longer dark outside and that in the afternoons you can stay out for longer to play.  That is because it is Spring and we hope you have been able to find the different signs of Spring on your walks or in your garden.  Today we can create some spring flowers - Miss Donoghue has created one of her favourite flowers - the snow drop and we have some interesting facts about snow drops.  Can you believe that a certain snow drop bulbs sell for £200!!!! Can you find that bulb in the photos?

Another lovely day so you can wrap up and look for signs of spring in the garden.  When you are outside gather up some leaves, twigs and what ever you can find and use all the materials to create a nature picture.

Then complete your favourite jigsaw and check out the ideas in the Extra Fun Activities that we have sent you this morning.  Could you make your own jigsaw?

Todays story is Super Duck.  And as we are preparing for St. Patrick's Day we have a few leprechaun songs to start practicing- so lets start the day with those.
