Working in the Garden
29th Apr 2022
We had a very busy day checking what fruit and vegetables are currently growing in the garden and decided what else we will plant in the garden. The children have suggested strawberries, peas and potatoes in the tractor tyres.
We enjoyed exploring the textures and smells of the vegetables and rhubarb. The beetroot made Miss Donoghue's hand turn red and we looked at the roots on the spring onions - this is how they suck up the water like a straw. We will watch the apple trees over the next few weeks to see when the apples start to grow and we loved the smell of the bay leaves.
